Cheryl Cole’s temporary X Factor replacement Nicole Scherzinger was snapped in London today, en route to film the boot camp auditions.
The 32-year-old Pussycat Doll singer had only just arrived back in the UK after a spa weekend with her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, 25, in Monaco.
But she was back to business in England’s capital to start work on her ITV talent show duties while Cheryl, 27, recovers from her bout of malaria.
Dressed in a tropical yellow and black dress and peep-toe heels, Nicole looked as stunning as usual.
The singer was spotted leaving her London hotel, where she is staying with her British Formula One driver beau.
Scherzinger is filling Cole’s shoes during the boot camp sessions, following her guest appearance with Simon Cowell, 50, and Louis Walsh, 57, during the Manchester auditions.
Although the boot camp stage is usually filmed in front of a live audience, this year they will be shot behind closed doors as they whittle the contestants down to a group of 24.
The talent show’s Twitter page said: ‘Due to unusual circumstances, we are not inviting an audience to watch the contestants perform at The X Factor boot camp next week.’
Nicole, who won Dancing with the Stars in the US this year, was originally brought in to cover Dannii Minogue during her maternity leave but when Cheryl came down with Malaria, the order of the show became complicated.
After her luxurious break in France over the weekend, Nicole will be refreshed and reinvigorated to step up to the X Factor challenge and save the day.
She readily admits she’s not the best singer in the world – but Katie Price still seems to think she would make a good X Factor judge.
The 32-year-old model, who is promoting her new single this week, says she’d love to fill in for Cheryl Cole on the hit show while she’s recovering from malaria.
Laying out her credentials for the role, the mother of three admitted many might be shocked if she was appointed, but told Metro: ‘I’ve got ears and can still hear things and can see looks,’ adding: ‘Simon knows where I am.’Katie was on the promotional trail again today plugging her track Free To Love Again.Speaking about X Factor, Katie added: ‘I think everyone wants to be a judge on that show.
‘My job is about looks and what other people look like – I have a fair opinion.’
However a spokesman for X Factor said there were currently no plans to hire Price.
The spokesman told MailOnline: ‘The current line up of judge is Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole.
‘Dannii will be back for the judges houses section of the show next month, and hopefully Cheryl will be better by then too.
‘But there is currently no decision on bringing in guest judges for boot camp later this month.’
Katie was pictured leaving the Radio 1 studios today wearing a patterned dress and red wedge heels following an interview with Newsbeat.
She said her stylist Gary Cockerill described her as looking like Pocahontas with her newly-fitted long hair extensions.
The model still looked puffy faced, as she did on Sky News yesterday, suggesting she has had yet another Botox and collagen top-up.
In the interview with Radio 1 today she admitted that her song is unlikely to do well in the charts, saying radio stations won’t play it because ‘it’s not credible’.
She dismissed speculation the song was about Andre as ‘boring’ insisting it wasn’t and saying the lyrics don’t mean anything to her.
However she is looking forward to performing the song in front of an audience, with a show scheduled for London’s G-A-Y later this month.

A Polish man has been charged and sectioned under the Mental Health Act after punching Leona Lewis at her book signing in Central London.
Peter Kopwalczyk, 29, from South London, was arrested at the Waterstones’ book shop on Piccadilly late Wednesday afternoon.
It has been reported the Kopwalczyk auditioned for X Factor in 2006, the year that Leona took the top spot, but failed to impress judges.
A Scotland Yard spokesman revealed, “Peter Kowalczyk, aged 29 of SE1, has today been charged with common assault and sectioned under the Mental Health Act. He is due to appear at city of Westminster Magistrates Court on October 26th.”
Leona has only suffered minor injuries but has had to cancel future signings including a trip to Germany. The Bleeding Love singer, currently one of the UKs biggest and brightest RnB stars, said via a statement, “Thank you again for all of the lovely messages. Love you all.”

X Factor’s creative director Brian Freidman claims Cheryl has nothing to prove, “This is not Cheryl’s competition. She’s already competed in one before on TV, she’s proven herself as an artist so I don’t think it would really matter.”
The 26 year old celebrity and wife of Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole, is still very nervous about the performance and has banned all family and friends from watching the show!
Cheryl told GMTV, “The girls are itching to come down to support me when I perform but I kind of don’t want them to – because it is more scary.”

X-Factor celebrity Leona Lewis was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after being slapped in the face at her own book signing in Central London.
The crazed ‘fan’ who attacked the singer waited patiently in the queue at Waterstones Piccadilly before launching himself at 24 year old Leona – but only after she had signed his book.
Security staff quickly restrained the thug while police arrived before the star was taken to a Harley Street Medical Clinic.
A spokeswoman said “Leona’s understandably badly shaken and apologises to the fans she was unable to meet and complete signings for.”
Former Take That singer Robbie Williams has commented, via his celebrity blog, on his bizarre karaoke standard performance during X-Factor on Sunday night – blaming a stiff wooden object for distracting him.
Robbie claims he appeared slightly worse for wear on the ITV show as a result of a faulty stage door which wouldn’t open and thus threw him off his stride.
The former drug addict wrote, “I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I was going to be… until the friggin sliding door wouldn’t open. I don’t know if you saw but I had to wedge it open myself. That wasn’t part of the show that was pure brute strength. So there’s a bad start. I had a whole pose planned and what not. But that went out of the window.”

A wide eyed Robbie Williams – formerly of ‘man band’ Take That – was in tears as his taxi ran over an 18 year old paparazzo on Sunday night.
On leaving the Fountain Studios in Wembley the young pap got a bit close to Robbie’s limo for the evening, a Chrysler, and both of his legs were driven over by the car.
The police and ambulance rushed to the scene of the accident and the photographer was taken to hospital. The distraught gossip machine abandoned the vehicle and was taken home in a different vehicle ending the night on a low note after his ‘buzzing’ live comeback performance on X Factor.

Boyzone singer, Stephen Gately, has tragically died at the age of 33 whilst on holiday in Majorca.
The successful Irish musician was away on vacation with his long term partner, Andy Cowels, who found his body in their holiday home in Port Andratx on Sunday.
