Pole-dancing Jarvis Cocker Makes An Exhibition Of Himself In Shoreditch

Britpop rock star Jarvis Cocker performed at a pole-dancing class as part of an art happening in London this week.

The former Pulp star played a live soundtrack to gyrating students at the first day of a three-day art exhibition he was hosting in East London.

Cocker and his band played for hours, backing anything from graffiti sessions to pole dancing classes. He also mixed with the common people as he invited passers-by to jam with him at Shoreditch’s Village Underground. The event echoed a similar stunt which he set up in Paris earlier this year, playing for hours on end for free to anyone in the area.

As the hours ticked by, the musician and recently appointed BBC 6 Music radio presenter tackled a variety of instruments to create his ambient backing tracks.

This week he will be also be accompanying a yoga session, a hula hoop workshop and burlesque dancing lessons…

Celebrity and Model Kelly Brook Strips for West End Show

Celeb model Kelly Brook, a regular at Funky Buddha London, will be baring all in the theatre production of the Calendar Girls starting on Tuesday, 3rd November this year for a ten week run.

The 29 year old model and presenter, who is currently dating Rugby boy Danny Cipriani, has been chosen to replace Jerry Hall in the part of Celia – Miss September.  Jan Leeming, a former newsreader and star of Celebrity Big Brother joins Julie Goodyear, best known for her role as Coronation Street pub landlady Bet Lynch, fellow new additions to the cast alongside actresses Arabella Weir and Helen Lederer.

The production will be performed at London’s Noël Coward Theatre on St Martin’s Lane.

This is not Miss Brook’s first West End appearance; she turned heads when she stripped down to her bikini in the show Fat Pig. Will someone cast this woman in a show where she can keep her clothes on please! Have you not seen the weather in London lately?!
