Lily Allen, 24, who had previously announced that Dizzee Rascal at the O2 arena on March 7 would be her last performance, has now confirmed that she will be joining rapper Jay-Z at this year’s Wireless festival. To be held at Hyde Park in London, the festival will take place on Friday, July 2 and Sunday, July 4 and will also showcase performances by Pink, The Temper Trap and The Ting Tings.
Jay-Z known for his collaborations when he is performing, decided to recruit Lily Allen for his show after seeing her performance of The Fear during the BRIT Awards. Both artists were recognized at the event, Allen winning the BRIT trophy for British Female Solo Artist and Jay Z taking home trophies for International Album (The Blueprint 3) and for International Male Solo Artist.

After hearing about Jay-Z’s desire to do a collaboration, Allen responded, “I was very flattered to hear that Jay-Z wanted me to support him at Wireless and combined with my dates in March with Dizzee Rascal, I am excited to end my current string of live shows in such prestigious company.”
Tickets are now available for Jay-Z’s summer tour. Preceding the Wireless Festival, Jay-Z will play MEN Arena in Manchester on Monday, June 7 and the LG Arena in Birmingham on Wednesday, June 9.
