Twilight Star Robert Patterson Loses to Hugh Jackman in Karaoke Competition

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

London heartthrob Robert Patterson lost a karaoke competition to Hugh Jackman.

The two actors, who will be appearing in the film ‘Unbound Captives’ together, met up in Japan and bonded by staging the sing-off to see who could give the best Abba rendition after a few shots, cocktails and more than likely, Champagne at the bar.

The young star said “It was pretty funny. I think he won, only because he can drink more than me and still sing in tune. He’s a cool guy and I’m really looking forward to that film.”

Based on the reaction we received to the story, Robert Patterson isn’t looking forward to the movie as much as the women in London!

If you would like to sing to Abba and enjoy karaoke like these two movie stars look out for the regular Ultimate Karaoke nights in London hosted by James WJ Wilson. They are usually held at HeyJo Club London on the second Thursday of each month from 7.30pm.

The next karaoke event will be on Thursday, 12th November at HeyJoClub, an exclusive Private Members Club on Jermyn Street

Pop Star Robbie Williams Leaves Bodies in the Road After Traffic Accident in London with Photographer

Monday, October 12th, 2009

A wide eyed Robbie Williams – formerly of ‘man band’ Take That – was in tears as his taxi ran over an 18 year old paparazzo on Sunday night.

On leaving the Fountain Studios in Wembley the young pap got a bit close to Robbie’s limo for the evening, a Chrysler, and both of his legs were driven over by the car.

The police and ambulance rushed to the scene of the accident and the photographer was taken to hospital. The distraught gossip machine abandoned the vehicle and was taken home in a different vehicle ending the night on a low note after his ‘buzzing’ live comeback performance on X Factor.

Robbie sang his new single Bodies earlier in the evening, leaping around stage, sweating buckets and chatting his face off; fans were left a little bit unnerved after his recent drugs revelations.

Although the single is seemingly aptly named it was a novel promotional activity to leave bodies in the streets of London. Nothing will stop this celebrity getting a rewind on his 15 minutes.

Cafe de Paris London Hosts Celebrity Karaoke Competition

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Celeb gossip columns will be filled with the latest news and pics from the London Karaoke Competition on Thursday last week.

Kate Moss had her ambitions of being a famous singer revived when the model went head-to-head in a sing-off with rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince at a celebrity charity karaoke fundraising at top London club, Cafe de Paris.

The London event, Hoping’s Got Talent, was attended by celebs including singer Allen, actor Sienna Miller, daughter of rock star Rod Stewart Kimberley Stewart, Tracey Emin and Sadie Frost, raising more than £500,000 for charity Hope and Optimism for Palestinians in the Next Generation (Hoping).

One-time Pop Idol winner Will Young (who once had the same management as the Spice Girls) also performed in a fat suit while Suggs impersonated Susan Boyle, while Dave Gilmour gave the shindig rock ‘n’ roll kudos. On the talent judging panel was the X Factor’s Louis Walsh, who delivered his verdict along with celebrity smoker and Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson.

With the crowd bidding just under fifty thousand pounds to see Jamie Hince win, Ms Moss sadly lost her bid to be the London karaoke queen – but she took it on the chin as she hosted a late-night lock-in backstage after the gig, staying for cocktails until nearly 4am on Friday morning. So that’s what Katy did…
